Using Joint Attention Routines (JARS) in your play to maximize early learning and development

This webinar will teach you what a Joint Activity Routine (JAR) is and explain why it is so helpful in guiding play. It will provide lots of examples of JARs with various types of play and include recommendations on data collection and fidelity implementation.

The main objectives of this webinar are listed below:

  • Share the 2 golden rules to being a trusted player
  • Define what a Joint Activity Routine (JAR) is and explain why it is so helpful in guiding play
  • Discuss the two main types of JARs
  • Describe lots of examples with various types of play
  • Provide recommendations on data collection and fidelity implementation

More about our presentor: Kim Hoehne received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Lake Forest College and her Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Northwestern University.  She went on to receive a certificate of specialty from PennState in Applied Behavior Analysis for Special Education.  Kim is a developmental specialist and is Board Certified and Licensed as a Behavior Analyst.  She began working with children with ASD and related disorders in 1993. She founded and is CEO of KGH Autism Services, an Interdisciplinary Autism Therapy Center. 

Early Intervention Credit approved for 1.5 intervention

(please note credit is currently unavailable for states outside of Illinois)

This training is open to all Early Intervention Providers and Service Coordinators

There will be a free reflective practice session offered after the webinar for all IDTA Members ONLY. This will require a separate registration.
