Join us for Part One of a two-part "Lunch and Learn" series presented by former IDTA Legislative Chair Megan Schumaker Murphy Ed.D.!
This session focuses on developing an understanding of the ways that systemic racism, classism, heterosexism, etc create outcome and experiential inequities in early intervention. During this webinar, we'll learn about outcome disparities and their systemic explanations, examine how our cultural identities and implicit biases develop, and begin to understand how the "mythical norm" impacts EI service delivery.
Megan Schumaker Murphy, Ed.D. earned her doctorate at DePaul University. She spent ten years as an early intervention developmental therapist in Illinois and was the IDTA's Legislative Chair from 2015-2017.
