Reflective Practice Session for the Webinar:
Supporting Autistic and Neurodiverse Children
This Reflective practice session follows the "Supporting Autistic and Neurodiverse Children" Webinar. This Event is for IDTA members only and attendees must attend the Webinar to particpate in the reflective practice session. During this reflective practice session, participants will discuss key concepts and strategies presented in the webinar and explore how they can be applied to their work with autistic and neurodiverse young children and their families. Participants will reflect on how neuro-affirming practices, sensory and environmental adaptations, visual supports, and proactive approaches to regulation can enhance children's participation, communication, and independence in everyday routines.
The reflective practice session will be facilitated by the Continuing Education Chair and available members of the Illinois Developmental Therapy Association Board, all of whom are experienced Developmental Therapists working in Early Intervention. Collectively, the facilitators bring extensive experience partnering with families of infants and toddlers from birth to three through relationship-based and family-centered practices.
Early Intervention Credits - TBD
This is a closed training and is only open to IDTA Members who attended the Webinar.
